Marketing Online vs Offline Marketing
In the first corner, standing 5'6, 360 lbs, blind in one eye and a knee brace for 78 years, former heavyweight champion of the world's conventional marketing ONLINE!
And in the second corner, standing a proud 6'2, a solid 225 pounds, is the fresh, healthy, 22 years, undefeated lightweight champion of online internet marketing world!
Hmmm ... does not sound like a great fight, but I'd stick around for the finish. It 'will be faster.
More and more people are reallocating marketing spending to incorporate a higher percentage of internet marketing. Internet marketing includes the likes of effective and successful marketing of Pay Per Click, Search Engine Marketing and Optimization, viral marketing and social networking, email marketing, marketing eNewsletter and more!
No more are the days of being forced to use only expensive, ineffective, the limitation of conventional printing methods and less-than-multi-media advertising.
I am not saying to stop using conventional advertising all together, as it depends on your company, your industry, budget and, most importantly, your audience. But if you have a website (do a web site, right?), Then advertising on the Internet should be a must-have in your repertoire of marketing tools. Not only to reach a wider audience is still a niche, you will save serious cash flow, as well.
I will give you the truth about some ineffective online vs. offline marketing effectively. Little by little, blow for blow.
Email vs. Direct Mail-Seriously? If you are engaged in direct mail, perhaps you have not yet thrown off the post in a while '. I know that every day when I get to the office, I pass the physical mail to relieve me of a majority of it by downloading them directly to the trash. The rest is presumably bills or something I have asked to receive. What a novel concept. Ask to receive advertising, or at least give my permission to receive it.
Email marketing is very direct, as is so 'directly' in the box of the person who sent it to. Furthermore, it is 'direct' potentially providing links to your website, services, etc. and 'directly' to ask the business and provides a way for them to 'directly' buy it. Everything online. I'm laughing as this is really awesome!
The best part? Email marketing is closer to the FREE marketing will never be, while the so-called direct-mail marketing exercise is brutally expensive.
This is the first fatal blow to offline marketing.
Marketing Pay Per Click (PPC) vs. Print / Radio / TV Advertising-As I said before, I will not tell anyone to delete the selected marketing offline, but when there are budgetary concerns and the need for immediate results, are no better option than pay per click marketing, or as it is referred to in the biz, PPC.
Quite simply, pay per click (PPC) is an advertising model used on search engines, ad networks and content websites / blogs, where advertisers only pay when someone clicks on an announcement made to visit the site of ' poster. Advertisers bid for keywords that involve their target market will use as search terms when looking for a product or service. When a user types a keyword query matching your keyword list the advertiser, or a page with relevant content, the ad may be shown. These ads are called "sponsored links" or "sponsored ads" and appear alongside or above the results "natural" or organic results pages of search engines. (Wikipedia.com)
That being said, PPC is pay for advertising production. Do not you get that with traditional advertising? Not to mention the following reasons:
- Traditional advertising has a very limited market range from limited outlets locale, budget, and available. PPC advertising reaches only the target market or the world! You only pay when a user clicks and is sent to your website with the alleged intention to do business.
- If someone performs a search for some particular keyword (s) which means they are looking for a company that does what you do! Hmmm, that is the case with traditional advertising? Anyone may read the newspaper, listen to the radio or watch TV lazily. Participants online are exactly that: PARTICIPATION! It is a public engaged.
- Time is a factor. be there when they need you. Are available online 24 hours a day every day, and yet, when you search for keywords through PPC marketing will be there when they need you. Also in this case, conventional advertising one tries to keep pace, please?
Fatal blow number two for ol 'offline advertising. This is starting to get messy real quick.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) vs? - Is anyone going to show traditional advertising to combat SEO? Seriously? You mean to tell me that traditional advertising does not offer you a way to optimize your ad (how does SEO for a website) to rank higher than other ads, without paying more money just for a better location, more color , extra screen time, the first radio ad time? You mean it comes down to who pays more for traditional advertising? What about the days of strategy? Well, thankfully they're back.
Traditional advertising is all advertising spending and less on strategy. Internet marketing is won by good sense, technology and strategic ... and is very, very, little to do with the money spent. What do you think?
Go ahead and take a seat SEO for now, no one showed up to fight you.
Meanwhile, quite simply Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a website from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results for keywords targeted. Usually, the first of a site appears in search results or the higher it "ranks", the researchers will be more, visit the site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines. (Wikipedia.com) ...
