Paid for your items
If you have written articles on the web to help promote your business, you can also ask if you can write articles and get paid for it. What kind of articles you land some extra cash, and what you have control over the representation of the content once and deliver him to the editors?
Type 1. Magazine and newspaper articles.
These items are at least twice the length of a typical web article, in-depth, highly focused on a topic, a bit 'academic and ethereal in nature, and often have long quotations by authorized experts. These are the articles you read in your magazines and newspapers. REALLY GREAT WRITERS write these - that's why they get paid the big bucks.
Payment:
You might pay anywhere from $ 35 to $ 2,000 depending on the size of the publication, and your reputation as a new or an expert freelance writer.
Other important information:
- Requires a cover letter. You need to "throw" the work in a ... Well, let's call them elite group of publishers. The less well known is your name, the harder you will have to sell yourself. There is an exact procedure to write a cover letter - I recommend you do research on it, because if you make a mistake he fell directly into the trash, no matter how fabulous the article topic.
- Requires a manuscript (editable first draft). You must submit your article via email, printed in a standard font in a specific format that includes headers, footers, line spacing, page numbers etc. in a precise format. If you screw up the format, screw you. Some publications "Kinder" will send you a little 'of paper that tells you what you have done incorrectly, some will not even recognize you if you are brand new and not aware of the protocol.
- You need to include CLIPS - the industry term for samples of your work which have already been published. There is a "web article" qualify as legitimate a clip? I really do not know. My guess is that the higher the quality of your piece, you will be better ... but I really can not say.
- Your item will be changed. If approved, and this is a big if, it will be returned to you with corrections. Publishers may want to take a new direction with it or modify in some other way. You must work with them.
- Your newspaper article is not going to be released "Over and Over" the way in which articles are internet. Why? Magazines do not want the same items as their competitors. You can get a small blow to the publication of something a couple of times in a few different places, but it's a slim possibility. FRESH content is the name of the game. That is why people magazines are willing to pay for it.
It is these types of articles a good way to sell your company? Maybe if you're hitting the world, with some insight breaking ... but that will probably be ONE-depth article, and by some stroke of luck that your area of expertise combined with the need for publishing the contents hot.
Magazine articles are certainly not the advertising tool that articles are internet. I mean really, when was the last time you read a newspaper article, noted author 's and said to yourself, "Hey maybe he's selling something that I need! Let me try and visit a website at this time "?
Web business at hand, some writers really want to write for the thrill of writing itself: a thorough search of the area, creating some beautiful prose on it, and be paid. This along with a caption, and the thrill of being a published author can do freelance magazine article writing quite attractive. If this sounds like your cup of tea, start honing your article research and writing skills, and apply those cover letters!
Resources:
If you think you have the good sense and the talent to write in-depth articles for magazines or trade publications, do a Google search on Freelance Writer Jenna Glatzer and see what advice he. Subscribe to its publication, absolute markets and begin to discover what types of industries need articles and is willing to pay cash for them.
Browse the magazine rack and choose the magazines you might want to write. Then select a section of the magazine in which you might be able to contribute to a general topic category.
You'll find all the "big names" of editor-in-chief and staff, along with mailing address, within the first few pages of the magazine. You will need this information because this is what you'll be talking to your cover letter.
GOOD LUCK. You must have patience and perseverance and you should be challenging to get somewhere in this area. Oh yeah, and it helps to know people. :)
Type 2: items that are resold by content websites.
There are a handful of websites out there who will pay for content. Do not know much about them but I think that submitting your work to these is mainly a win-lose, with you as a loser. I think it's because you pay a few dollars to own the rights to your work. You can get a signature, and that's it. In most cases, the subtitle does not even include a URL or an author bio, so you're really selling yourself for some poor chump change in this situation.
Hypothesis:
The site that buys your content is probably going to sell at a price higher than what was written. Again, this is just speculation on my part, but they must do something with the content to put a good amount of money in your pocket or why would they bother? Maybe they charge a membership fee publications to select items to use in their printed work. Again, I do not know much about these places, but I want to share what they know.
Payment:
Buyers of content can pay anywhere from $ 5 to $ 100 an article. I think if you're really desperate to pay the rent this month, you can write four or five articles, spend 2-3 hours on each of them and then return $ 15 per item. But I really would think that you should be desperate to do this. Legally, you can not submit the article elsewhere, once you've signed over. But the person who paid ten dollars for 2 hours of work can and will.
Other important information:
- YOU dictate the content, not you. Here's an example: I went to Associated Content to see what the scoop was, and had listed some types of items they were seeking. One was a "tourist information on the territory." Nothing that I write, so there goes my chance shiny.
I would think that requests for the content coming directly from the people who buy the content from the seller Content, or maybe it comes from some kind of power and consensus question that came up with. In any case, definitely not in your control and now the demand is low.
- They can change the content, if they wish. I think you sign away your rights to leave the contents intact, once that no one buys it from you. So who gets the content through this type of merchant can do pretty much whatever they want with it, chop, add a little 'of oregano, whatever. Therefore it is no longer representative of your skills or a reflection of you. It is sold, so now we have no control, which is the difference between this and the article marketing through the distribution of content sites.
- If you do not like your article, do not get paid for it. Refusal to receiving your notice, you have permission to "take back the article" and distribute all the net for free? I do not deal much with content sites, so I do not know, but this is a question worth investigating.
If buyers of legal content you from present elsewhere, once you have your work, so for me it would be just another reason to not sell yourself short on this type of research content. But if you have permission to use the articles rejected, I'd pull back and forward throughout the rest as I could.
- This site has no intention of rendering your content across the network the way a "free content distribution" of the site would be. So not only is fairly nondescript, not to sell your business because of the subjectmatter which was dictated to you by the content of the site, and be paid a very tiny sum of money for your work ... but after all is said and done, almost no one is going to see your article anyway.
Do a search on Google the title of an article sold to a buyer of content, and watch what comes up. Almost nothing. However, if you really need a quick source of income, you can also do some research and see where you can strike gold where I have not.

If you ever want to submit articles anywhere, paid or unpaid, I recommend you do a search on Google a specialized term of your choice, along with the words "submit article" in quotes. It is also worth doing a little research on copyright and what kind of restrictions can be placed on reprinting your article once it is accepted for publication.
Good luck in your article writing efforts!
