Power and Internal Exile

The power is pure dumb, leaden silence. When he speaks, if he speaks, speech imposes a pedestrian only (uniform, monolithic, monotonous), deadly soporific, clear representation of emptiness and stupidity which represents and characterizes it: slogans, slogans, euphemisms, clichés, idioms, interjections and onomatopoeia , countless platitudes who want to spend, without success, for logical and coherent speech, invoking (many times) in the cold and dazzling shimmer of technicalities, of facts and figures, the complex statistical tables.

That is why we need to perpetuate the power and persistence of the splendor and beauty, prestige and legitimacy, in short, ideology and culture and speech. As traditionally captures intellectuals and scribblers with attractive gifts and royalties relevant appointments in public positions, publication and dissemination of their works, significant interventions in institutional events, trips abroad, honors and recognitions, awards, etc.., To they act and work in a courageous and delivered to the address and notes dictated or at least not maintain a belligerent attitude of criticism or frontally against the power and their representatives.

The intellectuals who do not conform to the demands and requirements of power, literally did not exist and live as true exiles in their own countries, without further reduced to abject ostracism, the most scandalous silence. How many of these intellectuals in exile, living in a real internal exile, we have in our warm republics that want to show the eyes of the world as a modern democratic states in full progress towards the full development and overall progress? Sadly today may be much more of each of us are willing to acknowledge.

The issue has another side to the positive high power, for art and literature productivity and artificially stimulated seasoned offers the viewer no dazzling vision of all a true "Renaissance" culture of the nation, when the reality is that there are other in quantity effect of events and cultural events and activities and publications, but since the only criterion for selection and effective pregnancy is the sell the power that creates and fosters and makes possible, there is little or no quality at all. Nothing really guarantees a certain state of affairs the depth and relevance of human action.

And in this way the lack of significance of cultural products power returns again to the most closed and dark silence.
