Collaborates with Befesa As Polygroup Contractor Supplier

POLYGROUP SPAIN SL has been approved as a supplier / contractor for the company BEFESA SAU WATER GROUP ABENGOA. The first commercial collaboration with this company will be supplying floors for SULFURIC ACID PLANT, that this company is running at the Port of Bilbao.

The new plant will occupy an area of ​​21,850 meters square at the dock of the Port of Bilbao AZ1. The project is planned investment by 38 million Euros.

The plant will replace the factory that has this group in the town of Barakaldo Bilbao: Former Rontealde.



BEFESA through its subsidiary BEFESA Sulfur Recovery, SLU (formerly Chemical Acoleq) provides an output of 329,000 tons of sulfuric acid per year, plus you will get a product called "Oleum" obtained from the transformation of sulfur residue of the result of petroleum distillation processes.

The cogeneration plant will be equipped with electricity, leading to an associated power generation of approximately 90,000 megawatts per year.

The investment is the culmination of a process that began several years ago and which has important ramifications in the real estate sector.

The project will be funded on the one hand, by a syndicate of banks, and secondly, by the sale of the land from its current plant.

POLYGROUP provided Technical Land 700 m2 Full Gamaflor Antistatic Steel, also having BEFESA confidence to execute the installation work given the complexity of it.

The implementation of the activity of the plant is scheduled for late 2011.
