It's time to choose a book!
Some aspects to consider:
The literary quality. A good book for children should be fun, exciting, compelling, interesting or moving. If an adult can enjoy a book, although it is designed for children two years, you'll probably also like the little boy. If it is a narrative must have a good story, be suspended or generate the desire to continue reading. If a poem or song, must attend to the musicality. Must combine a surprising or special words we use every day. The text must be able to move the reader in some way: to provoke laughter, sadness, nostalgia, fear, desire to live. The text must somehow show our own reality, though referring to a distant world. The characters must be able to reveal some facet of human beings to reflect upon it. Address the quality of images and editing. Images must be clearly recognized enable the features of objects, especially in books for younger children, ie they must be clear and legible. Images can not be a mere copy of reality. Like all art, should be suggestive and provide an array of looks.
In other words, it should be noted that the illustrations are not stereotypical or too realistic, but to offer an artist's vision. Illustrations should be surprising, be able to show other points of view, create an estrangement. The variety can develop a taste for reading. It is possible that many children say they do not like to read for the simple fact that not even found a book that will cause some emoción.Una good selection of books for children should include: stories, novels, poems, songs, jokes , biographies, experiments, information on various topics, stories, legends, riddles, games, instructions and everyday life situations. In turn, literary texts must consider various themes: love, humor, fantasy, horror, science fiction, human conflict, mystery and others who encourage children.
