What are the systems of access control?

The access control systems provide the authorities of a particular institution the task of controlling the entrance fee or use of particular areas within a building, as well as information systems. Readers of control, usually do not make decisions, but pass information to a control panel where you check the appropriate access level.

Control Panels

In general, control systems are based on the hub and spokes model, where readers as nodes circulating around a center which is the panel itself. Readers communicate with the control panel via RS485 serial connections. Currently there are IP-based systems. This type of system uses standard networking and advanced computer programs to monitor and evaluate the entry into access points.

Control System Integration

In addition to the above components, the access control systems can be integrated with a wide variety of alarm systems. Alarm systems can be combined with control points extending coverage to prevent the misuse of an object. The fire alarm systems can also be integrated with accesoss checkpoints to assist rapid evacuation in an emergency.
