Interview With Edward C. Noah: A Creative Escobarense
Escobar has among its residents with a great artist, and I dare to extend this concept, because "artist? is a word that seems small for him. It is a great creator. And with that so hard to find, with angel. A creative ventures into all the arts: a sculptor, painter, designer, decorator, writer, photographer, restaurant owner, designer. and if I miss a another activity that has to do with the creation, I am convinced that this is also his genius work. Kindly and stealing a bit of time to work, agreed to answer some questions for the magazine. Time-and-answer grateful MAGAZINE: Silvia: - How and when he felt the need to create? Eduardo: I drew from childhood I attended teacher workshops Carboni, who taught at the old cinema Italy Escobar (current Seminari theater). and later, in the last years of high school, I was drawn to the sculpture. I bought books on the subject, I learned techniques, and I started doing some work on their own. S: - Do you remember when and what was the first work to sell? How did you feel then?
E: The father of a bride who had by then, was a collector of art, and I commissioned a piece for your garden. That was my first job, and made me feel good, made me get down to work my way and develop manufacturing processes that did not know, because my training was entirely self-taught. and solve these problems made me feel great. S: - How many broken sketches before deciding that "this? is the one? E:-I make several sketches, general and then some in particular, face and hands. S: - Is self-critical? E:-self-criticism is essential to any business, you can not settle for the first time. I am self-critical. S: 'It's a sculptor, painter, poet: all creative activities, but surely there will be some that should give you greater satisfaction (beyond the economic) What is it and why? E: I can not find a difference between making sculpture and write a poem, satisfaction is the same, and that what pleases one is the creation, no matter the medium in which it does. S: - To what or what inspires you? E:-I am inspired by images I see or imagine, to make informal sketches on topics that interest me and when customer orders so the client always inspires busca.Pero one in the march, not inspired sitting must be working for the birth of the solution to an idea.
S: - What are the artists who feel, marked his style? E: 'I appeal from figurative sculptors such as Rodin, Manzur, Segal, Arturo Martini, to abstract and Chillida. There is one for which I feel most affected, but all attract me. S: - What are you working on now? E:-At this point I am interested in mechanisms, mechanical devices, automatons, I wish to make an exhibition of machines, moving sculptures.
S: - Do you think Escobar is culturally prepared to appreciate your work? E: 'Of course Escobar is ready to appreciate my work. S: - What would you advise young people just getting into the wonderful world of the arts? E:-For beginners only I have to say the magic word is work, work and production, his hand comes the knowledge, inspiration and resolution of all problems. Art is a practical activity, and not theoretical. and are not left with what they do in workshops or schools, it is important to do your own work without looking at a teacher.
